Buddha Bar & The Art Factory
Before coming to Byron i wanted to stay at the art factory hostel, but i then changed my mind when it was all booked up.
Claire, Kathrine & I went over to the Buddha Bar and the Art Factory just the other day, to check it out!
The place is out of town, at least 10 minutes walking and there are no lights in the street which makes the whole walk not pleasent, especially at night.
When we arrived the Buddha Bar was still empty..but we got pretty impressed:
the art work on the walls was amazing; big huge pictures hanging on the walls, Andy Warhol style, leather couches and tropical drinks. The prices were very expensive! Nice enviroment and good music.
I liked it a lot, the first very nice bar i have been to since i am in Australia.
Also i found out that the Art Factory is considered a hippy community...(basically it is legal to smoke pot there...etc.hehehehhe. Just kidding:)).
Kinda of interesting place.
